Notes from Kim: In May 2009 I
toured China as a guest of the US Embassy
in Beijing. I gave talks, performances and
radio interviews regarding American "folk music" at a number
of universities and public places and had the time of my life.
I learned the well-known Chinese folk song, "Mo Li Hua,"
while I was out there and worked out a little guitar arrangement.
"Dancing Song" is a Cajun-influenced song I'd written back in '93
and had never recorded, but I ended up playing it quite a bit
out yonder and decided to commemorate the tour with it in this
way.
